Licensed Doctor of Oriental Medicine, State of New Mexico

The State of New Mexico requires that all individuals wishing to practice Traditional Chinese Medicine pass a comprehensive practical exam. The exam involves actual patients with actual medical complaints. A candidate must complete a patient interview, perform palpations, determine a diagnosis and create a treatment plan that includes acupuncture and an appropriate herbal formula.
